FM Cottonwood – Winning Awards
Two Paint horses sired by Gunner rose to the top of Level 4 in Section B of the Developing Horse Futurity at the Tulsa Reining Classic. Franco Bertolani and FM Cottonwood, as well as Jason Vanlandingham and Smoking Oak Gun, both scored a 220 to tie for first place and each earned $3,522.
Franco Bertolani was pleased when he scored a 220 to tie for first riding Carlton and Khris Crowe’s horse FM Cottonwood (out of Sonita Lena Chick x Smart Chic Olena). As part of a special partnership with the Tulsa Reining Classic, APHA presented a slate of Gist Silversmiths trophy buckles to the high-placing Paint Horses in select events.

From Dr. Khris Crowe
It is so exciting to watch the progression of FM Cottonwood and see him win his first Championship. We are excited about his future as both a sire and a show horse. Looking forward to the future.
